While many visitors head straight to Kuta Lombok or the Gili Islands, some of the most beautiful beaches in Lombok remain surprisingly quiet. As a local guide, these are some of my favorite beaches for travelers looking for fewer crowds and a more authentic experience.
1. Mawun Beach
- Crescent-shaped bay
- Calm water
- Good for relaxing
- Short drive from Kuta Lombok
2. Semeti Beach
- Dramatic rock formations
- Photography spot
- Not ideal for swimming
- Great for sunset
3. Pink Beach
- Rare pink sand
- Snorkeling
- East Lombok
4. Tanjung Bloam
- Huge cliffs
- Wild landscape
- Very few visitors
5. Gili Nanggu
- Small island
- Excellent snorkeling
- Quiet alternative to Gili Trawangan
Local Guide Tip
If you only have one day in South Lombok, I recommend combining Mawun Beach, Semeti Beach, and Selong Belanak in one scenic route.
